Before he nearly certainly embarks on filming James Bond 25, with production on that set to start at the end of the year, Danny Boyle will be shooting his thus-far untitled musical comedy. Sheeran will apparently write new songs, while tracks from the legendary British group will also feature in the film.

The comedy is being written by Richard Curtis, the man behind Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill.

Sheeran appeared in the FX series The Bastard Executioner and had a highly publicized cameo in Game of Thrones last season, a move made on the part of the showrunners to impress Arya Stark actress Maisie Williams who's a self-professed Ed Sheeran superfan.

An inside source for the film told the newspaper: 'Everything Ed touches turns to gold. He is the biggest hit-maker on the planet.

Macron weighing his response to 'red line' violation by Syria
The report said that for now France did not have chemical samples from the attack site analyzed by its own laboratories yet. The French president said on Sunday that Paris had convinced the USA administration to "stay in Syria long term".

Based on the music of The Beatles, the project has a script by Love Actually's Richard Curtis.

The cast for the movie thus far includes Lily James and Himesh Patel.

It's not even clear if he would be the character who wakes up remembering Beatles songs, or if he'd just appear in the movie and someone else would have that role.

Sheeran is a known fan of The Beatles, having once performed an acoustic cover of "In My Life" in front of Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr (see footage of that below). There is now no other major release scheduled for that date, although it will be competing against the second week of IT: Chapter Two, which opens September 6, 2019.
