Man City striker Sergio Aguero confirms knee surgery

Manchester City sponsor Etisalat have congratulated the team on their Premier League title success in a flamboyant manner - by releasing a video of players and fans celebrating in a stage-managed fashion.

Aguero missed most of City's games in March because of a left knee injury.

Argentina's first match of the tournament is against Iceland on June 16.

Aguero has had keyhole surgery after being troubled by a knee issue for the last five weeks.

Aguero, meanwhile, is relieved that there will be no nerve-jangling at City this season after wrapping up the Premier League title with five games to spare.
