In Japan. And has no release date.

Konami has revealed a brand new entry into one of their most iconic and long running franchises.

If you were among the countless people left a Castlevania-shaped hole in their hearts over the past few years, then you'll be happy to know that Konami is ready to fill that void, announcing a new entry in the series: Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls. The game itself is boasting up to four player co-op, with "real-time co-op around the world", so perhaps that's confirmation that the game will be coming to the West after all.

However, a letter sent to Genya Arikado spelt the end of that peaceful age.

Konami has recently announced the latest Castlevania title in the form of Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls.

Genya ArikadoA mysterious person belonging to the confidential organization of the Japanese government. Lucy is a female researcher that has been working on means to defeat Dracula.

Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls also has a new graphical style, and will also feature various songs from other games in the series. Its roster includes characters from the franchise's history, including Simon Belmont and Alucard. Grimoire of Souls is a side-scrolling action game with a cooperative mode and boss rush for up to four players, as well as a competitive mode that pits four against four. I get that. But a well done side-scrolling Castlevania title for Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One would do awesome well I assume. It's exclusive to the Japanese audience at this point, but feel free to sign up if you're interested.
