Then on Monday, the news broke that Hannity was named in court as one of Cohen's clients, along with President donaldTrump.

It's a headache for Fox News, where Hannity is the highest-rated host and chief defender of Trump. "I have faith in the Southern District US Attorney's Office that their integrity is unimpeachable", making a taint team "a viable option", Judge Wood said. Cut to: Stephen Colbert luxuriating in a glass of red wine, enjoying this sweet, sweet bomb cyclone of drama.

Co-host Joe Scarborough also chimed in, saying "This leaves a very big problem for Sean Hannity and Fox News", citing the hypocrisy of Hannity's reporting, most notably his accusing of the Federal Bureau of Investigation of being a "crime family" while he's been hiding his link to a controversial lawyer. "Bald-faced lying to his viewers to not disclose that he's a third client of Michael Cohen".

The host played various clips during which Hannity discussed the Federal Bureau of Investigation raids on Cohen's office and residences, which he called an "unprecedented abuse of power".

"I really think that you should have disclosed your relationship with Cohen when you talked about him on this show", Dershowitz told Hannity.

Cohen was in court to ask the judge to limit the ability of federal prosecutors to review documents seized from his offices and home last week as part of a criminal investigation, which stems in part from a probe into possible collusion between Trump's presidential campaign and Russian Federation.

"Michael Cohen has never represented me in any matter", the conservative commentator wrote on Twitter. "And a source close to [my close personal friend Donald] tonight is telling Fox News that [Mueller's whole thing] is way out of control", Sean revealed last Monday.

The clients were initially identified as Mr. Trump, former Republican National Committee deputy finance chair Elliott Broidy, but Mr. Harrison tried to avoid naming the third client. "One of the anchors at the major pro-Trump news network has had an undisclosed relationship with the president's lawyer all this time, while Fox has not told that to its audience and while Mr. Hannity and Mr. Cohen have apparently spent considerable effort trying to keep that relationship secret".

Fox News host Shepard Smith acknowledged Hannity's connection to Cohen on the air Monday.

"I understand he doesn't want his name out there", Judge Kimba Wood said.

On his show Monday night - and on his radio show earlier in the day - Hannity made the case that he was entitled to his right to privacy and that he had assumed his conversations with Cohen were confidential.

Hannity said Monday that he occasionally turned to Cohen when he had legal questions but that he never paid him to be his attorney.

"Now, we can see that Hannity wasn't just mad, he was scared", Noah said. The lawyers did not say what legal work Cohen had performed for Hannity. "They'll be like 'drink tummy tea, by the way, I'm sponsored by tummy tea'". "It was minimal", Hannity said. After Kimmel joked on his show about first lady Melania Trump's accent, Hannity called Kimmel a "despicable disgrace". "And when it does, the left will cheer because extremism in the pursuit of Trump is no vice according to them".

Kimmel also criticized Hannity's response to the news, in which he said Cohen has "never represented" him. "They never involved any matter between me or a third party at all".

During his live radio show, he seemed flustered that he was getting a steady stream of phone and email messages about it.
