Salah can score more than 40 for the season: Klopp

Mohamed Salah insists that he "does not care" about personal accolades as he is instead exclusively focused on helping Liverpool to win the Champions League.

Mohamed Salah became just the third Liverpool player in history to score 40 goals in a single season by netting once more in a 3-0 win over Bournemouth. Having started his senior career with his hometown club, El Mokawloon, in the Egyptian Premier League in 2010, he played for various clubs in Europe before signing a deal in 2017 to play for Liverpool in the English Premier League for a then club record fee of £36.9 million.

But the Reds manager also insists his team will not be distracted by Salah's quest for the Golden Boot award, for the Premier League's top scorer, as Liverpool seek to end their season by winning the Champions League.

Salah's 40th was also his 30th in the league this season.

"Liverpool then have a home game against Stoke and I would encourage Klopp to rest his front three for that one and have them ready for what will be a hard game at the Stadio Olympico in Rome".

"Of course the Champions League".

DUP backs Theresa May's decision to authorise air strikes in Syria
Four Royal Air Force Tornado jets from the Akrotiri base in Cyprus fired Storm Shadow missiles at a military facility near Homs where it was assessed that Syria had stockpiled chemicals, Britain's Ministry of Defence said.

Russia: Syria chemical attack 'fabrication by foreign power'
The allies of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad were eager yesterday to lay blame for the crisis not with him but with Mr Trump. The United States, France and Britain fired 105 missiles overnight in retaliation, targeting Syria's chemical weapons program.

Speaking to reporters Van Dijk said: "It's good stuff playing against them in training, it makes you better".

Meanwhile, Salah's looping ahead against the Cherries saw him retain his five-goal cushion against Harry Kane in the race to win the Premier League's Golden Boot.

But, with potentially seven games remaining for his team, Salah may yet challenge Rush's all-time club record - 47 goals in a blistering 1983-84 campaign.

"You can see with the team everyone tries to pass the ball to me to help me". I can not lie - it is in my mind.

"I am also sure that Tottenham's players try to help Harry Kane and also Manchester City's try to help Sergio Aguero". You feel they want to support you and want to help you to score goals.

Salah could have scored after three minutes, prodding a great opportunity wide from Trent Alexander-Arnold's whipped cross, but the first goal came in the seventh minute. And what a number we scored as a team in the whole season, that's insane.
