Kane Williamson led Sunrisers Hyderabad to yet another win with a captains' knock of 50 at the Eden Gardens on Saturday in Match 10 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018. He returned with the bat to slam a 21-ball 27 in the company of a sturdy Kane Williamson and helped Sunrisers move to a comfortable win. He hit seven boundaries and a six in his 49 from just 34 balls, taking to countryman Billy Stanlake and Bhuvneshwar Kumar - those two combining for five wickets - and showcasing his brutish ability. Eventually, KKR never looked congruent after the rain break as they could only muster a target 139.

However, Pandey's screamer of a catch to oust Rana came in the first over upon the resumption and when Williamson pouched Sunil Narine (9) - who batted at No 4 instead of his usual opening berth - running back from midwicket, KKR began to slide. Kolkata's wicket has proved itself to be very conducive to pace, which will benefit the SRH pacers, but also leave their batsmen more vulnerable against KKR's quicks. Bowling first in the rain afflicted match, the Hyderabad outfit displayed exceptional efforts in the field to restrict KKR's start to a paltry 138 in 20 overs. It is uncertain whether the purple cap holder from the last two editions will make it for this game, but Sandeep Sharma adequately covered for Kumar. Earlier, Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc was ruled out ahead of the tournament due to a calf injury.

The 22-year-old Krishna has played 23 matches for Karnataka, only three of which have been in the T20 format. The defeat was KKR's second in three games.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are going through a wonderful phase and have won both their matches.

Not quite in his elements today, Rashid could not pick up a wicket but ensured he wasn't taken to the cleaners in four decent overs.
