Punjabi Singer Parmish Verma Shot At in Mohali; Admitted to Fortis Hospital

Famous Punjabi singer and director Parmish Verma and a friend were shot after returning from a show on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday in Phase 8, Industrial Area, Mohali. The auto then stopped in front of Mr Verma's vehicle near Sector 74 in Mohali, which is when the assailants shot at the singer. According to Mohali SSP Kuldeep Singh Chahal, when the two reached Sector 74, Dilpreet opened fire on them outside a housing society.

Police said that a white Hyundai Creta vehicle followed singer's auto from Chandigarh. A case has been registered in this regard, police said, adding that investigation was underway.

In January 2016, Patiala police had arrested Nehra, along with four others in a case of stealing from ATMs. The controversial post has already been shared over 1,000 times on Facebook. Dhalan uploaded a picture on Facebook of him holding a gun with another picture of Parmish Verma with a cross drawn on it. A police source said Verma's knee was injured in the firing.

A gangster named Dilpreet Singh has taken responsibility for the attack.

Dhahan's Facebook post read, "Mein dilpreetsinghdhahansariya nu dasnachaunda k ajjparmishverma de goliyabazianapamariya(I, Dilpreet Singh Dhahan, want to tell everyone that I am behind the shooting of Parmish Verma)".

His another hit party number "Gaal Ni Kadni", released past year, has over 118 million views on YouTube.
