March For Science' To Take Place Saturday In Downtown San Diego

In more than 230 cities around the world - from Durban, South Africa to Washington DC and Sydney, Australia as well as Munich, Frankfurt and Cologne in Germany - marchers and demonstrators turned out for the second annual March for Science.

Protesters at Saskatoon's March for Science gathered at the Chinese Ting in Victoria Park before marching through downtown to bring awareness to the need for scientific and evidence based approaches to policy making on April 14, 2018.

The foremost issue for her was how the United States and the world are being impacted by climate change, and she wanted to see more action taken to fight it.

Lehigh University Assistant Professor Joshua Pepper said science is also hurt by attacks on immigrants and refugees because science is driven not just by homegrown scientists but also by foreigners who come to the study and perform research.

Dave Harrington, the Lehigh Valley For All president, said the group hosted the rally because there hasn't been a change in the administration's stance on the environment and science since the last rally.
