These star RBs are NHL Playoffs ready

On Wednesday night the Winnipeg Jets won the franchise's first ever playoff game with a 3-2 victory.

One small step down, many more to go before the Jets get what they really want.

A somber tune for the Wild, indeed, as the Jets took care of home ice during Games 1 and 2, following up a 3-2 win in the opener with a dominant 4-1 victory on Friday. "Greenway has played in some really important games this year". Winnipeg has not gone up 2-0 in a playoff series since the National Hockey League returned to the city for the 2011-12 season. A split is always the goal of the road team in the first two games of a seven game series, and the Wild had an opportunity with a 3rd period lead in game one.

If the Jets win, they'll be in complete control, but if the Wild win, they'll wrestle away home-ice advantage. He's plus-four so far these playoffs, and get this - he's now put up 25 points in 26 postseason games in his career. The Wild are 5-1 in their last six Friday games. "It would be nice to go there with a split series".

And so it went, the media chasing the magical, elusive elixir, the way the Wild had chased Winnipeg around the Minnesota zone for most of 60 minutes in Game 2. "The expansion's actually going to help us with safety. From what we've gone through this year that's something we'd be prepared for". "We're going to come home in front of our fans and be ready to play Game 3". Devan Dubnyk stopped 39 shots for Minnesota.

The Jets had the game's first power play 24 seconds into the middle period after Minnesota's Eric Staal was called for tripping.

The Wild will surely look to generate more offence, while the Jets will simply have to be quicker in the heavy traffic zones. "So we'll give it our best shot". "There are very few players like him", marvelled Jets centre Paul Stastny. They had some guys make some big hits.

The market is also keeping an eye on developments out of Syria, after reports an air base near Homs was struck by missiles. Prices were also impacted by reports that Saudi Arabia intercepted missiles over Riyadh fired by Yemeni Houthi rebels.

Trump to Gardner: Federal government won't target Colorado marijuana industry
Cory Gardner said Trump promised him over the phone Wednesday that a memo Sessions issued a year ago won't affect his home state. On Friday, Gardner said he would lift all holds on Department of Justice nominees.

Russian Federation warns of war over Syria strikes
"They are crimes of a monster instead", Trump said referring to Assad and his suspected role in the chemical weapons attacks. Asked whether she could say that the United States has proof that Assad's regime was behind the strike, Nauert said: "Yes".

Dustin Byfuglien was an absolute terror, a reminder of the value of big, physical players when the game shifts into playoff mode. Connor Hellebuyck has given up two goals on 20 shots faced. "It's this kind of sneaky, underlying underdog confidence that I think will carry us", defenseman Matt Dumba said.

Jets forward Mathieu Perreault will be a game-time decision.

"We feel real good", said Gallant, a strong supporter of the Summerside Boys and Girls Club. "You guys are trying to make it sound like we're not trying. But we responded well".

Forward Matt Hendricks (lower body) and defensemen Dmitry Kulikov (upper body) and Toby Enstrom (lower body) are sidelined. Everybody else is game time. For the time being, Jack Roslovic will enter the lineup. It can never be a culmination of many things that led to an end result. Like other sports, you have to win one in the other team's building. The Jets lost that first-round series 4-2 and then packed up for the Arizona desert, where they were reborn as the Phoenix Coyotes. "But the ideal would be winning [Game 2]". "I'll take a faceoff off an icing all day long over a turnover there. We are a veteran team".

One of those fans is Perry Gilmour, who has been following the Jets for years.

It was nearly like the Wild played scared after that.
