Sea of Thieves content expansions detailed

Rare has recently outlined some of the new content that will be coming to Sea of Thieves in the near future. Around the 20 hour mark the realisation will begin to dawn on you that, underneath the vibrant surface, this game is a hollow shell of absurdly repetitive questing with little to no reward in the later hours of play. This new AI-based enemy won't be able to be defeated alone.

The Sea of Thieves updates don't stop with summer, as three major updates are planned for fall and winter this year, though there are no details about these updates yet.

Rare plans to launch regular content and weekly events that will add major features, including items, mechanics and expanded goals.

It will also introduce a number of new mechanics to aid players taking part in the adventure, and of course, there will be new rewards. Possibly more exciting for players is a new ship type being introduced to Sea of Thieves. A weekly events program will also be introduced in May, giving players new ways to play with weekly events and rewards.

The Hungering Deep brings a new AI threat to the world, that crews will have to work together to discover and defeat as part of a unique event.

Apple's memo warning employees about leaking information is predictably leaked
That didn't happen before Apple dispatched a gold iPhone X to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), however. For now only the iPhone X comes with a notch unlike the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus .

The third content drop, Forsaken Shores, will come later in the summer and introduce a new area for players to explore. "As we've always said, launch is just the start for Sea of Thieves, and we are going to grow and evolve the game with feedback from our community".

Rare is also deprioritizing the development of some previously announced features: pets, which will let players own parrots, cats and monkeys; and ship captaincy, a system that would allow legendary pirates to become captains of customizable ships.

With that, other tools will be added to the game that give crews more tools to communicate with other crews to make tracking down this threat more user-friendly.

If you've spoken to me about anything in the last few weeks, it's likely that I somehow found a way to mention to you that I really like Sea of Thieves. "Expect our plans to continue to be fluid", Rare said.
