As they left the airport, Phipps gave Snipes her phone number and told her to call if she needed anything.

The two women began talking, and that talk turned to Snipes' baby on the way.

"I was scared and insecure and I wasn't even sure how to live on my own at that point", Snipes said. "And I look at him and think I still can't believe this happened to me", Phipps said. "It's really scary, but it's the best thing I could have done in my life".

Phipps and Snipes are considering writing a book on the missed connection that changed their life.
