The Moto G6 series is expected to go official in MWC this year. Interestingly, past renders of the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus suggest fingerprint sensor will still be placed under the display so it's still unclear whether only the G6 Play will be the only model with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

On the rear there's one camera and it's rumored to be a 13MP shooter, while on the front there's a likely 8MP sensor. Also, it appears that the handset will have significantly reduced bezels compared to its predecessor. The images also allude to a metal build, something that has been previously rumoured.

All three phones are expected to be affordable midrangers, with the G6 sporting a Snapdragon 450 chip, 3 GB of RAM, and a 3,000 mAh battery; the G6 Play would be even more affordable with a Snapdragon 430 processor and a larger 4,000 mAh cell; and the G6 Plus would be the most powerful of the three, with a Snapdragon 630 SoC instead.

Twitter user Ishan Agarwal provided the renders, and although we've yet to see them leak other handsets accurately the pictures seem to match previous photos we've seen of each handset. The smartphone will feature a rear-facing fingerprint scanner which will be hidden within the Motorola batwing logo. The images were posted on Instagram and were first spotted by SlashLeaks, which also reported that the Moto G6-series is based on the Moto X4 design. As the company has started sending media invites for an event in Brazil scheduled on April 19.

Moving on to the specifications of the Moto G6 Play, it will come with a 5.7-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1440 × 720 pixels.
