The late actor's daughter, Janhvi took to social media to thank Dixit for taking over a film that was "close to mom's heart".

Bollywood filmmaker and producer Karan Johar had planned to make the film Shiddat with actress Sridevi, but her untimely demise shattered Karan's plans.

And now, Madhuri Dixit Nene has stepped into Sridevi's shoes for the film.
