Alex Lovell remains hospitalized following the ambush by Emily Javier on March 2 at their Camas home. "I should be able to walk in six months, but it's going to take hard work and dedication to relearn how to use my hands and legs", he wrote.

"I just stabbed my boyfriend", she is heard saying in the call. He said, "I told her I loved her, and she was killing me". After this initial frustration, what pushed her over the edge and convinced her to attack Lovell in his sleep was finding the dating app Tinder installed on his phone and some red hairs in the shower.

Instead of simply leaving him, however, she opted to purchase a samurai sword, which she taped to her side of the bed, along with two knives. She waited for Lovell to fall asleep, grabbed the sword and began stabbing Lovell and swinging it at him, court records state.

The 911 call reveals a distraught Javier after her violent outburst, telling the dispatcher Lovell needed help immediately.

Lovell told BuzzFeed News via Facebook Messenger he relied on martial arts training and what he saw in kung fu movies to react and added he only survived because of "Wing Chun", a form of martial arts he became "obsessed" with after watching the movie "Ip Man".

"I've been indirectly preparing myself for this night my whole life", Lovell said.

After being awoken by the attack, Lovell said he was "able to wing chun [his] way to survival", and was eventually able to get his (presumably at that point ex-) girlfriend into a bearhug. "She called the authorities and saved my life, I hope that counts for something", he told Oregon Live before adding that things are "a bit complicated".

"First, there was the dating app on Lovell's phone, she said".

Lovell was adamant that he had never cheated on Javier: "No one will ever come forward, because there was never anyone else but her", he said. But Lovell still feels for his ( I assume) ex-girlfriend.

Jay Weatherill resigns as party leader following Labor loss in SA election
Steven Marshall and the Liberal party are likely to win at least 24 seats, enough to govern in their own right. He acknowledged Mr Weatherill, who shortly before had called him to concede defeat.

Javier - who pleaded not guilty this week to first-degree attempted murder, according to The Columbian - had also allegedly been preparing. She also noticed scratches on his back, possibly from a romantic encounter.

Javier reportedly bought the samurai sword from the mall and claimed that she didn't confront her boyfriend about his infidelity because he would just deny it.

In an interview with police after the attack, Javier, 30, admitted she was frustrated with her boyfriend for staying glued to his game.

"There's too much blood!"

Lovell's right wrist is in a cast.

"I barely had time to hang out with my girlfriend, let alone another girl", he told the paper.

"It just constantly burns and little spasms make me jump out of my seat".

Lovell, who is a huge gamer, is receiving donations from a Gofundme page that was made by members of the "PlayerUnknown's Battleground" gamer community.

Lovell said his and Javier's relationship had been rocky since the beginning and that jealousy was a recurring theme.
