The incredible images of her giving birth in the water were captured and shared on the social media.

A Russian tourist gave birth in the Red Sea in Egypt before her partner and a man reported to be a doctor carried the baby from the ocean. And Miami-based doctor Dr. Saima Aftab told Live Science the high salt content of the ocean could seriously harm a baby if they were to accidentally take a gulp of the water during the birthing process.

Since the photos were posted on El Said's Facebook page on Saturday, they've gone viral all over the world.

The new mother, from Russian Federation, gave birth with the help of her husband and a doctor who specializes in water births. Beyond that temperature would be unsafe for the baby, and below, a little less pleasant for the mother, but the water itself poses no risk for the newborn. She does not look as if she just went through labour and looks more like she had just gone for a swim.

Photos - which were taken by a tourist from a nearby hotel balcony - show the doctor and father emerging from the water with the baby, with its umbilical cord still attached and its placenta in a plastic container.

According to a report on LADbible, comments on social media "praised" the woman for giving birth in the Red Sea and made note of the "beauty" and "easiness" of the water birth. However, if the older man present at the birth is, indeed, a Russian doctor, it would be more likely that the underwater delivery was planned.

One social media user commented: "The sea was really red that day!" According to the BabyCentre article, legends state that Egyptian pharaohs were born in "shallow sea water". Seeing her postpartum body, hard to believe she just gave birth to a baby.
