Rio de Janeiro: In the absence of injured star Neymar, Brazil's national football team coach Tite has announced a squad with some surprises, including forward Willian Jose, for upcoming friendlies against Germany and Russian Federation.

This month's friendlies are to be the last tune-up games before the competition begins in June.

Even as the national coach Tite named a few newcomers in the squad, he will want his mainstays in Philippe Coutinho, Gabriel Jesus, Roberto Firmino, Willian, Casemiro and Marcelo to show their metal.

However, uncapped trio Valencia goalkeeper Neto, Besiktas midfielder Anderson Talisca and Real Sociedad forward Willian Jose will all get a chance to make their debut in the upcoming worldwide friendlies.

The Brazil federation was originally scheduled to reveal the squad two weeks ago, but pushed it back because the doctor for the national teams, Rodrigo Lasmar was en route to France to meet with Paris Saint-Germain about the status of superstar Neymar.
