It also appears that it will receive a physical release both on the PS4 and Xbox One and will include a double-sided poster. Assuming it's reasonably priced, it should be worth a look. The announcement was posted on Twitter, though it came out a little early and was later deleted.

As the tweet only contains a trailer and a May 29 release date, there isn't much detail with regards to which games will feature in the collection.

Sega Genesis Collection, also known as the Sega Mega Drive Collection in other markets, will feature Sonic The Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Gunstar Heroes, The Revenge of Shinobi, Altered Beast, and more. There will nearly certainly be more games included in the Sega Genesis Collection than what's shown in the trailer, but Sega obviously wanted to pull out its heaviest hitters for the promotion.
