Facebook/DieHardMoviesBruce Willis confirmed that a "Die Hard 6" is happening.

After writing The Conjuring and its sequel for New Line, Chad and Carey Hayes have been hired by 20th Century Fox to rewrite the script for the next film in the DIE HARD franchise, the Tracking Board has exclusively learned. Wiseman is producing and aims to direct the new film, marking his second time with the Die Hard universe after 2007's Live Free Or Die Hard (released here as Die Hard 4.0).

The Hayes brothers have co-written House of Wax, The Reaping, Whiteout and Amblin's upcoming haunted house movie The Turning starring Mackenzie Davis, Finn Wolfhard and Brooklynn Prince. Earlier reports suggested the film will be an origin story featuring a young John McClane as a regular cop in 1970s NY.

The Conjuring is a supernatural horror film, the first one in The Conjuring franchise.

What do Insider Trends Have to Say About Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI)?

Despite the mixed to downright poor critical reception afforded to the last couple of Die Hard films, they've actually done pretty well financially.

Willis first starred as McClane in the 1988 classic film, which was based on author Roderick Thorp's novel Nothing Lasts Forever and was last seen as the character in 2013 in A Good Day To Die Hard.

The problem here is that if McClane does something impressive in the 1970s, it minimizes his heroics in the original Die Hard because you wonder why people wouldn't already know him.
