Asus ZenFone 4 Pro officially scores OTA Android 8.0 Oreo update

According to officials, the new Android 8.0 Oreo update for Asus ZenFone 4 Pro smartphone comes with a firmware version number V15.0410.1802.34.

Asus has just announced their new Asus ZenFone 5 series smartphones at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, Spain last month. The release of Oreo for ZenFone 4 Pro shows that the Taiwanese company is making good progress as far as updating ZenFone 4 and ZenFone 3 series to Oreo is concerned. Apart from these changes, the update includes all the usual Oreo goodies such as an updated UI design, background limits, Autofill to remember your logins, Smart text selection, Picture-in-Picture, notification dots, Android Instant Apps, fully redesigned emoji set, Adaptive icons, and many more. Now, it is known that the latest smartphones from Asus in the flagship Zenfone lineup will be the Asus Zenfone 5 and the Asus Zenfone 5Z.

As far as the latest device is concerned, this will be named as the Asus Zenfone 5 Max which is the successor to the Asus Zenfone 4 Max which was announced by the company previous year. The company had previously rolled out the Oreo update for the ZenFone 4 in December, followed by the ZenFone 3 in January this year. Alternatively, you can check for the update manually by heading over to Settings About System Update. It also brings improvement to power consumption and adds long screenshot function.

The device about which we are talking here is the Zenfone 5 Max, as its name suggests it will be the successor to the aged Zenfone 4 Max. Additionally, you would notice all the other functions of this new update, Android 8.0 Oreo on your smartphone.
