Baylor is one of just three teams in the Big 12 Conference to not receive a bid to the NCAA Tournament this season, along with Oklahoma State and Iowa State. Then on Sunday night after the NCAA Tournament snub, the team held a players-only meeting, but there is no knowledge of what was discussed.

The NIT is a single-elimination tournament that awards automatic bids to regular-season conference champions that didn't advance to the NCAA tournament. The Bruins defeated the Broncos 83-56 in the first round of last year's tournament. The March 27 semifinals and March 29 championship game will be held at Madison Square Garden in NY.

Nebraska has one of the biggest win-total improvements in the country from last season, and is now 21-10 overall, 11-5 in conference play.
