Teaming up against the BJP, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress on Tuesday said they will come together in Parliament to raise the issue of Delhi's ongoing sealing drive and ask the Centre to come up with a solution.

The BJP today made a decision to boycott an all-party meet called by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tomorrow to find a solution to problems being faced by traders because of an ongoing sealing drive in the city, even as the AAP slammed state BJP chief Manoj Tiwari for touring overseas at a time when city traders were facing problems.

"The then Centre and state government under the Congress working on its past strategy to suppress the issue, brought out an under developed Master Plan-2021 which though stopped the sealing at that time but soon complicated the situation to the extent that in 2017 Supreme Court actively re-intervened", he said in the statement. "I wish BJP had also participated in the meeting in the interests of Delhi's traders", Kejriwal later tweeted.

Sisodia said the government would create opportunities for both parties to apprise the monitoring committee about their views on the sealing.

"Instead of attending the meeting, the BJP is doing politics". "The BJP can resolve the issue in a day if they want to". "We should present our points in favour of traders before the committee", Sisodia said. The chief secretary Prakash was allegedly assaulted by AAP MLAs during a meeting at the chief minister Kejriwal's residence in the evening of February 19.

A Trade Bandh has been implemented in the major market areas of Delhi, as a way to protest the sealing of shops, which is being carried out by the municipal corporations on the direction given by the Supreme court committee.

Earlier, Maken reached the CM's residence at 12 pm with former Delhi Congress chiefs Arvinder Singh and Subhash Chopra to give his suggestions on how to stop action over alleged violation of municipal norms.

Maken also attacked the BJP for boycotting the meet. "Because it is not being done now, there is chaos", Maken said.

"We have given a representation to the CM, and will send this to the BJP also, in which we have divided the city into six parts".

Following the sealing drive, traders had alleged that they were beaten up by the Delhi Police personnel deployed on the spot. "The government must make a submission properly in the court with conviction", Maken said.
