The company has not only reduced the price of both the devices but also toned down the specifications as well.

Just the other day Microsoft introduced a cheaper option for its Surface Laptop where instead of the base model priced at $999, there is a newer and lower-specced model that will be priced starting at $799 instead. It includes 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The new variant is priced at $799, cheaper than the $999 Surface Laptop that was launched by the company past year. The laptop runs Intel Core i7 processor, coupled with 16GB memory and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage.

In fact if you'll be pleased to learn that just like the Surface Laptop, it seems that Microsoft has made a decision to give its Surface Book 2 a discount as well, where the base model is now priced starting at $1,199.

For the stamina, the company claims that it can easily last for 14.5 hours on a single charge which is probably four hours of extra juice over its competitor 13-inch MacBook Pro. After quite a long wait, we are going to get the Surface Book 2 in our country soon. It remains to be seen what strategy the company will follow this time with the Surface Book 2. The 15-inch notebook is only available in Core i7-8650U with Intel UHD Graphics 620 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) GPU. If the user decides to utilise the device in its tablet mode, the company says that it will have a power backup of up to 5 hours. On the connectivity front, the devices come with USB type C port, two USB type A ports and SD card slot.
