While the Huawei P20 was also filed in the U.S., making it unclear whether under what naming scheme Huawei might launch the next flagship in the P series.

Do let us know what do you think about this situation on Huawei's P line-up ditching the P20 name in favor of the P11? According to trademark image shown here, it was filed in the USA, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and other regions.

Apparently, the "Huawei P12" and other iterations of the moniker in the series are also having their info pages worked on, so we'll likely get a P11 as originally expected. Back in December, Huawei's promotional campaign for the upcoming P-Series revealed that Huawei will take smartphone photography to a whole new level, that will provide a DSLR-like result. Now, this makes it confusing considering both P20 and P11 make sense to be the successor of the Huawei P10. In comparison, it seems like the USA is the only country where Huawei trademarked the Huawei P20 moniker past year, so the Huawei P11 naming seems to be a favorite, at least for now. This further affirms that Huawei will continue counting upward without skipping any numbers. Whether or not the device is going to be unveiled during MWC 2018, that is something that we will have to wait for.

Huawei may opt to introduce the Huawei P11 and P11 Plus during a separate event in March, or even April, we're only guessing at the moment, of course, though more info will nearly certainly surface in the near future.
