DEALS: Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Gets a Price Cut

Jain said in the interview that Xiaomi will launch around six to eight phones this year across important price segments in the country. Today, the Chinese company started rolling out MIUI 9.2 Global Stable ROM to some of its smartphones, and the list includes the recently launched Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus. It is unclear when the latest update will be rolled out for more Xiaomi smartphones. The Redmi Note 4 had met with 5 million sales previous year. The Redmi 5 Plus and the Redmi 5 were launched in China just about a month ago.

We have seen several theories about the Redmi Note 5 and how the phone is going to materialise, but most theories always come back to the Redmi 5 Plus and how it was originally supposed to be Redmi Note 5.

According to the previous reports, Xiaomi managed to witness a significant growth in Q3 2017 and the Redmi Note 4 garnered 40% of the overall share. Except for Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus that respectively feature 5.7-inch and 5.99-inch display, all the predecessor Redmi phones have featured a 5-inch display.

Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain announced the price-cut on Twitter, where he also revealed that the Redmi Note 4 is now being sold via Amazon India as well. For the price tag of Rs. 22,999 and Rs. 25,999 for the 3GB Variant and 4GB Variant respectively, I would say the Redmi Note 4 is a good buy.

The Redmi 5 Plus supports 18:9 aspect ratio on its 5.99-inch display that produces FHD+ resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with Adreno 506GPU. It includes a 12-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing camera of 5-megapixel.
