A Pennsylvania teacher is facing a string of charges after he loaned a student his iPad and the boy found disturbing images of young female classmates. Gambino remains in Wayne County Prison.

A male student borrowing Gambino's iPad for a class project discovered the photos and notified school officials.

Gambino was suspended on September 21 "with pay pending" investigations by the state police and Wayne Highlands School District, the district said in a news release.

The 34-year-old stayed silent as he was hauled off to jail.

He allegedly stored the images in Google's cloud service, where a search of Gambino's account revealed photos and videos of 14 girls, authorities said.

"I honestly think it's disgusting and it's just awful to think that there's people like this in such a small town like this", Zachery Williams of Honesdale said.

"I'm shocked. It's sad that you don't know who to trust anymore!" The incriminating evidence came to light when Gambino loaned his iPad to a student who'd forgotten to bring his.

That teen stumbled on the pictures and reported the situation to administrators. "It's always been disgusting, but it's not criminal".

Investigators say this matter is still under investigation and they don't know if there are more victims.

Gamino has been placed on administrative leave by the district.
