Google reportedly plans to revamp its store with Assistant as the focus

Google is also looking into a strategy for buying products and services with Assistant, similar to how Alexa is capable of purchasing items.

Over at Google's massive Google Assistant Playground at CES they are showing off new products, chipsets, and reference designs by our partners which can also be seen on their booths such as Lenovo, LG, JBL, Qualcomm, MediaTek, NXP, Rockchip, iHome, Goertek, and Tymphany.

"We're thrilled that Toyota and Lexus will bring Alexa to customers on the road", said John Scumniotales, Head of Product for Amazon Alexa Automotive.

With Google bringing its Assistant to smart displays (not to mention more TVs), it's obviously chasing Amazon's own Echo Show assistant in a major way. However, she trusts Google with her E-mail and location, on Google Maps. The Google Assistant recently pushed to LG's Smart Speakers. This means that, at least for some products, you won't have to choose sides, and can control devices using whichever voice assistant you're in the mood for. Google claims that they will cover more number of devices later this year.
