Raw Water Is Water For Rich Idiots

Live Water serves spring or "raw" water in glass orbs, costing $36.99 each and $14.99 per refill.

While it might be too early to reach a definite verdict as to the safety and health benefits of raw water over treated or filtered water, institutions like the World Health Organization (WHO) cite a list of diseases that could be induced by drinking untreated water.

A recent New York Times story shed light on the growing trend of marketing unfiltered, untreated spring water - called "raw water" - as an alternative to drinking tap water.

Water treatment is meant to remove harmful bacteria such as E.coli, Salmonella and Giardia, a common parasite that causes a diarrheal illness called giardiasis and can be contracted by drinking "untreated or improperly treated water from lakes, streams, or wells", among other ways, according to the CDC.

Meanwhile, several health experts have warned that drinking untreated water can have serious health consequences.

Many in the United States have now made a decision to forego drinking tap water in exchange for "raw water", putting their health at risk in the process. "It stays most fresh within one lunar cycle of delivery", he notes. Cases like the travesty in Flint, Michigan, are very real, and they bring with them very real health consequences. Well, it's apparently "raw water". While Live Water says it provides a convenient and efficient system for people who prefer to have their water delivered, they do advocate people collecting their own spring water as the best choice.

The thing is, water is generally treated for a reason, right? It's akin, he said, to "drinking toilet water with birth control drugs in them", and repeated an old conspiracy theory that fluoride "is a mind-control drug that has no benefit to our dental health". In the span of 12 months, at least 130 people fell ill after drinking water at a camp.

The same report states that unprocessed water could contain animal feces, despite being sourced from the cleanest rivers. Making up to 10 liters (2.6 gallons) of it a day, the water is put through a mineralized filter and diverted straight to the household's kitchen tap. Live Water's founder, Mukhande Singh, said that tap water has been poisoned. "The springs that I will drink from have all been tested - and the closer you're drinking it to the source, the safer it is". They are perfectly healthy to eat raw.

"Unfortunately this sterilization destroys beneficial sources of minerals and probiotics", whereas "living spring water is the key to unlocking a ideal microbiome balance". "Now is that because I saw it come off the roof, and anything from the roof feels special?"
