Three months before killing 58 people and wounding more than 500 in Las Vegas last October, the gunman behind the deadliest mass shooting in USA history sent emails discussing buying bump stocks, which can make semiautomatic rifles fire hundreds of rounds a minute, media reports on unsealed search warrants showed.

Court documents released Friday revealed that Federal Bureau of Investigation agents knew Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock had caches of guns, ammunition and explosives when they sought warrants to search his properties and online accounts. Instead, they demonstrate how authorities continue to seek answers to many questions surrounding Paddock's actions and motive.

The Las Vegas gunman exchanged emails about buying rifles and bump stocks months before he carried out the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history using guns equipped with the device that allows semi-automatic weapons to fire almost as fast as automatic ones.

The July 7, 2017 exchange appears to be a discussion about firearms, and the document states plainly that "investigators believe these communications may have been related to the eventual attack at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas".

Paddock's girlfriend, Marilou Danley, plays a central role in the court documents.

A federal judge on Friday made public more than a dozen search warrant affidavits that had been filed by the FBI in the days and weeks after the shooting. An FBI investigator reportedly said in one of the documents that "investigators need to determine who was communicating with him about weapons that were used in the attack".

Qatar Complains to UNSC after UAE Violates Its Airspace for Second Time
In its new complaint, Qatar said the "repetition of this bad incident" was evidence of the UAE violating global law. In her letters she said that the incident took place at 9:45am on December 21, 2017, and lasted for one minute.

The girlfriend of the gunman behind the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history told authorities they would probably find her fingerprints on bullets because she sometimes helped him load ammunition magazines. She was out of the country when the attack happened, and Danley said after the shooting that she was in the Philippines at the time because Paddock had bought her a ticket to visit family. The FBI special agent who signed the affidavit argued that since only that phone was locked, any information related to a criminal conspiracy would be found on it.

Bump stocks believed to be used in the massacre were found in the 32nd-floor hotel room from which Paddock fired.

By 5 a.m., she had been located and identified as "a person of interest" in the shooting. Investigators say they suspect he may have been emailing himself, but couldn't figure out why. Police searched Paddock's room, his vehicle, and two homes he owned in Reno and in Mesquite, Nevada, where they found a cache of weapons.

It said "Try an ar before u buy".

According to CNN, the documents reveal a series of email exchanges that occurred just two months before the attack.

Paddock shot and killed himself before police arrived at his hotel room the night of the shootings.
