("The Champion" makes that song look like "God Only Knows.") Underwood has also sang the Sunday Night Football theme in the season's opening segment since 2013; you watch last year's here.

Co-written by Underwood, Brett James, Chris DeStefano and Christopher Bridges, the song will be played ahead of NBC's Super Bowl LII on February 4 with a video filmed a year ago.

"The "C" is for the courage I posses through the drama / "H" is for the hurt but it's all for the honor," he raps, breaking down the word "champion" during his verse.

Underwood co-wrote the song with Brett James, Chris DeStefano, and Ludacris. The inspirational chorus behind "The Champion" - featuring the line, "I am invincible, unbreakable, unstoppable, unshakeable" - is as smooth as a spiral off the arm of Patriots QB Tom Brady.

"The Champion" wasn't complete without a special collaboration between Underwood and Bridges, better known as Ludacris.
