To recall, HTC confirmed in August a year ago that Android Oreo update will be available for its smartphones including HTC U11, HTC U Ultra and HTC 10. Most of the company's flagship smartphones launched past year have already been updated to Android 8.0 Oreo, so now it's time for HTC to focus on slightly older devices. Stay tuned for more updates. Along with this, the company has also suspended the update temporarily and will be rolling out a new update in coming days.

The wait for Xposed Framework on Android 8.0 and 8.1 Oreo is over, but the product is now in a rough beta form. Once you've updated your device, you'll be able to enjoy the new features on Oreo, which includes support for picture-in-picture viewing, Autofill to get rid of filling in forms over and over, notification dots, Instant Apps for those who don't want to install more apps on their devices, etc. If there is no update, then you have to wait for the update to hit your HTC 10. There aren't details or official information of the date when we'll see the new operating system on the Shield TV, but just the fact that the device is getting updates is something. And this update is a Global Beta one, meaning it might have some bugs as well.
