The "HTGAWM" crossover episode, on the other hand, was written by Morenike Balogun and Sarah L. Thompson and directed by Zetna Fuentes, according to Variety.

The "Scandal" episode of the crossover will be directed by star Tony Goldwyn, who plays former President Fitzgerald Grant.

The upcoming crossover will be the first for the two shows, and its timing is ideal because "Scandal" is expected to wrap up after seven seasons.

The Scandal/How to Get Away With Murder crossover presumably has similar targets.

The move comes on the heels of crossover events happening on other networks that have successfully raked higher ratings.
