In recent weeks EA has been heavily criticised in the media because the way it treat it's new game, Star Wars Battlefront II, with the release of getting in-game boosts, via loot crates, which could be obtained with real money.

Which unfortunately for the game, overshadows the beginning of e Star Wars Battlefront II The Last Jedi Season - which aims to celebrate the release of the new film with new maps, heroes, and other goodies. But it doesn't change the whole pay-to-win nature of the Star Card system.

DICE says that the economy changes for Star Wars Battlefront 2 are "some initial steps toward making much larger changes". There's also changes to credits earned in Arcade mode, and even the daily loot crate awarded for logging in. According to DICE, this patch includes some adjustments to the economy and progression system. This is an area we agree needed to be buffed a bit, especially when it comes to rewarding players for doing well in-game. This includes bigger credits at the end of a match, almost double and sometimes more than what was originally getting dished out. In fact, we told you about a petition calling for the revocation of EA's rights to the Star Wars franchise and now it's gaining a ton of traction with over 115,000 people signing it so far. The Arcade Mode's widely criticized daily credits cap has been increased as well, bumping it up to 1500 credits.
