Apple has launched their one-day Black Friday shopping event in Canada, and as expected from what we learned yesterday in Australia and New Zealand, deals are the same in the form of gift cards.

On the iPhone front, buyers of the iPhone SE can score a $35 gift card, and the same deal applies to anyone buying the series 1 Apple Watch.

Yep, that leaves out the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus but then Apple probably isn't having any trouble shifting those right now.

The gift cards will be offered with purchases in Apple stores and on the Apple online store where you will get either an electronic gift card or a physical gift card.

If you don't want to be stuck in a contract or finance an iPhone, you can get the 32GB iPhone SE for $99, which is a $30 savings from its normal price.

Those who add an iPad or iPad mini to their basket will be given a $50 gift card to spend on Apple goodies, while iPad Pro purchases will come with a $100 gift card.

Apple gift cards can be redeemed at Apple stores, or on the Apple web site.

The Macbook, Macbook Air, Macbook Pro, iMac and Mac Pro are all covered by the deal. In addition to this, we are also covering Black Friday deals extensively, so do check them out as well.

Those disappointed that Apple aren't offering direct discounts on their products should not despair; other major retailers - including Argos, John Lewis and Currys - have slashed their prices on Apple products.

Here's the bundle on offer at Mobiles.co.uk: a generous 12GB data allowance for plenty of 4G frolics when you're away from Wi-Fi, unlimited minutes and texts to keep you talking, and O2 as your brand new network.
